FARM WALK - Home Grown Kids

After a cup of hot tea to warm the cockles and a belly full of cakes and cream the less fainthearted set out on a short walk.

FARM WALK - Home Grown Kids

Examples of traditional steeping, stonewalling and ditching were shown for those who could see through the rain drops dripping from their eyelashes! on return to the barn hot tea and cakes all round before a trip over to the parlour to see the cows beng milked. Not the day we had hoped for weather wise nevertheless, a most memorable day!

Thankyou to the Thorne families for all their hard work with the farm visit which raised £31. The walk was informative despite being conducted in rather heavy rain and the milking parlour and calves were an unforgettable experience.
