(June 08) Well what a lovely day we all had today, it was our Australian day. We had a good turn out despite a lot of families being away on holiday.

The children made rain-sticks from tubes, nails, split peas and crushed pasta. We all had fun experimenting with didjerie doo's ! Some of us were closer to achieving the right sound than others!

We had some fantastic didjeriee doo music in the background which helped to inspire the children ( pictured right ).

Some of us painted our faces with Aboriginal tribal designs. Traditional colours were white with black.

We created a large picture using our hand prints and made some lovely pictures using Aboriginal signs and symbols.
